Press play. The soundtrack to my creativity awaits.
I am a true fan of spontaneity. This trip was planned, booked, and experienced in just one week.  -Nat's Confessions

This post is...
  1. my biannual trip to Jamaica; my family is from Jamaica and traveling to the island every other year is one of my most meaningful traditions and commitments. Many thanks to Chris, one of my closest friends on this earth for proposing this trip and making it quite a memorable one for me... but when doesn't he?
  2. also some of my leftover summer diy projects that I didn't get to share with you... Jamaica's nearly 90 degree temperatures presented a great opportunity to showcase these forgotten projects.
Enjoy!
I woke up like this... I woke up like this...
I thrifted this fabric for $2 and turned it into these shorts and a head wrap. The bangles are my absolute favorite; I got them during a trip to NYC... about a year ago.. year ago.
The shorts paired well with this bikini that I made a few months back. Smiling to my left is Ms. Jessica. She and her husband have a thriving business making almond oil in Jamaica. As promised, the oil made me forget all about my itchy mosquito bites.
Used my leftover zebra print burlap to make a tote bag. I love the brass finishing touches on the bag. The chain used came from a thrifted necklace.
This Revlon Gel Envy polish is pretty impressive. Gel like nails for a fraction of the cost that survive a beach vacation is an automatic win for me. (Need manicure tips? Click here).
We ate great... di chef was everything nah mon.
It's guinep and avocado season. My mouth waters just looking at these pictures.
DIY is inna mi blood line..
reflecting.. rejoicing.. relaxing.. life is beautiful and I am blessed..
