Happy New Year everyone! I am excited to return to blogging with my greatest DIY project to date. Officially a certifiable nerd, I am excited to share that I have created a really dope game that doubles as a cultural competency tool. What started as a simple request to facilitate a diversity and inclusion training evolved into a highly sought after game, training, and tool called FACTUALITY. During my three month blogging hiatus, I worked around the clock perfecting and finalizing all of the components for the game which were single handedly created... by me!

And now I proudly present to you, FACTUALITY!

FACTUALITY evokes emotion, increases cultural competency, and enhances self-awareness in under 90 MINUTES!

Doubling as a board game and a crash course on structural inequality in America, FACTUALITY covers the areas of:
  • racial & ethnic discrimination
  • privilege
  • gender discrimination
  • sexual orientation discrimination
  • redlining & gentrification
  • incarceration & bail disparities
  • (mental) health disparities
  • median income averages
  • gender pay gaps
  • race/ethnicity pay gaps
  • racial profiling
  • education inequity
  • and MORE

FACTUALITY is played with eight characters (above) from various racial/ethnic groups, genders, and sexual orientations that explore various aspects of structural inequality in America. Visit www.FACTUALITYthegame.com, bring this tool to your respective organization, company, or institution to learn how structural inequality impacts Bryan, Rich, Chloe, Emma, Mason, Laila, Justin, and Sofia. Enhance your cultural competency, tell a friend to tell a friend, and check out the testimonials!

Best,
Natalie

P.S. Laila is supposed to be me and she even has my signature side part and red lip!
