I busted a hole in this skirt on Christmas Day!! But my mom taught me how to sew and has a sewing machine... and I was on my way to my parents house which allowed for a quick repair. -Nat's Confessions
The end of my semester made it nearly impossible to contribute to my blog.. final projects and assignments, event planning, advising, council and committee contributions consumed me completely.. my blog is my favorite creative outlet and as soon as I wrapped up my end of the semester work, I began working on another diy. PS I got As in both of my courses and I am now officially halfway through phase one of my doctorate!
All I wanted for Christmas was to wear a handmade gold foil midi skirt... s/o to my cousin Elon for the pics!
This skirt is super, super easy to make... a few months back I provided a five step tutorial that showed how to make this same skirt in a longer length. Instead of the full length, I measured 27 inches down from the waist.
I picked one of the best numbers at my family's annual yankee swap. I wanted this soooo bad.
